BRYN HEBOG BED & BREAKFAST
ACCESS STATEMENT

INTRODUCTION

We are a small bed & breakfast with three letting bedrooms all en-suite. All the rooms including the breakfast room are on one level which is accessed from the car park via a flight of 15 steps. The following statement is a summary of our facilities.

 

PRE-ARRIVAL

The B&B is positioned on a level road in a rural location about 4 miles from the nearest town. The nearest main line railway station is at Carmarthen (4 miles). All bedrooms and public areas can be viewed on our website www.brynhebog.co.uk . You may contact us by phone or email.

 

ARRIVAL AND CAR PARKING FACILITIES

You may check in to Bryn Hebog between 4:30pm and 9:00pm on arrival day. Please advise us of your approximate arrival time. On arrival please ring the bell at the kitchen door adjacent to the car park where you will be greeted. The entrance and car park is lit at night. We have a car park with six spaces. Driveway and car park is tarmac with a gradient from the road.

The main entrance is at the rear of the building and accessed via a flight of 15 steps. The doorway has a width of 85cm. Assistance with luggage is offered.

 

MAIN ENTRANCE AND RECEPTION

The front door is kept locked and a key is provided with your room key to give 24 hour access. On arrival guests are shown to their rooms and facilities are explained. Please advise us of any special requirements ie: sight/hearing impairment at check in. A welcome folder in the bedroom also explains our facilities.

 

PUBLIC AREAS:

 

DINING ROOM

Our dining room is accessed from the main entrance and is carpeted. Guests sit at individual tables. Chairs are without arms. Menus are all in large print. Please advise in advance of special dietary requirements.

There is a desk with enquiry bell and local information and a chilled water dispenser is provided.

 

CONSERVATORY & GARDEN

We have a south facing conservatory for guests exclusive use at all times. Access from the dining room is via a 80cm wide door. A settee, chairs and a coffee table are provided. Non alcoholic drinks can be served through the day and evening. Service is available by ringing a bell on the information desk. Access to a patio area is possible via a 135cm double door. Patio chairs are provided on a flagstoned patio. The garden is accessed via a paved path leading to a picnic bench with steps to further gardens.

 

PASSAGEWAY TO BEDROOMS

Accessed from the dining room via a 80cm wide doorway. It is approx 100cm wide with several 90 degree turns. It is carpeted and lit at all times. In addition to the main entrance door, there is a further fire escape at the other end of the passageway leading to a flight of 14 stairs to the exterior door.

 

BEDROOMS

All have wardrobes and bedside tables with individual lighting. All bedrooms have central heating with manual adjustment of radiators. Extra heaters are available on request. All en-suites have heated towel rails and non-slip bath/shower mats. Beds are made up with duvets. Extra blankets and pillows are supplied in the wardrobe. A hospitality tray with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits is supplied. Other facilities supplied include TV’s with remote control and subtitles, clock radios and a hairdryer. All doorways into bedrooms are 76cm wide.

 

ROOM 1

King size room – Approx 3.8 x 3 metres.

This has a 5' king size bed with a height of 65cm. A bedroom chair and a further fold up chair is provided. 75cm door leading to en-suite containing shower, basin and WC.

Basin with height of 80cm. Shower with step height of 28cm.

 

ROOM 2

Double room – Approx 3.4 x 2.75 metres

This has a 4’6” double bed with height of 65cm. Bedroom chair and dressing table with stool. Door 75cm width leading to en-suite containing basin at 82cm height, WC and shower with step height of 25cm.

 

ROOM 3

Twin room – Approx 3.4 x 3.1 metres.

This has two 3' single beds with heights of 55cm. Bedroom chair and dressing table. Additional fold up chair. Door 75cm wide leading to shower room containing basin at 80cm height, WC and shower with step height of 25cm.

RESTAURANTS

The nearest pub/restaurant is The Railway Inn and is approx 2 miles. Many more within 5 miles.

 

SHOPS

A range of shops and supermarkets are in Carmarthen approx 4 miles.

 

ADDITIONAL INFO

Dogs not accepted apart from guide dogs.

Children from the age of four are welcome.

Mobile phone reception is good. We ask you to switch off mobile phones whilst in the dining room.

All indoor area are non- smoking. Ashtrays are provided on the patio bench seats.

We have a fire alarm system with smoke and heat detectors in all rooms. Fire Evacuation details can be found on the rear of each bedroom door. Please advise us in advance if you need assistance in evacuation of the building in case of fire. Medication requiring refrigeration can be stored in our fridges and made available at all times.
